Why is auto spacing setting adding two spaces for predictive text?

Auto spacing setting adding two spaces for predictive text. Galaxy tab 4.

When ever I'm typing on my tab 4 if I select a word from the predicted word list above my keyboard then it adds two spaces after that word. If I type a word through continuous input then it adds one, but if I turn the auto spacing feature off I get no spacing on either forms of typing. I've tried a factory reset and a software update but the problem is still happening.
Any help would be appreciated.

I also have this same problem and it drives me nuts! My Samsung Note 3 does not do this crazy double space stuff like my Tab 4 does. Does anyone know how to correct this??
