How can I stop my screen orientation freezing/unstick it?

I have a Navon Mizu M500, a Hungarian brand based on a MT 6589 Quad-Core 1.2 GHz CPU and running Android 4.2.2. [http://navongps.com/en/mizu-m500/]. The screen orientation keeps sticking, and then after a few days will unstick, so that the screen starts tilting properly between portrait and landscape again. The accelerometers seem to be working throughout: e.g. the camera's icons and menu items and camera thumbnails in Gallery will pivot while the screen is stuck, but not the images themselves in Gallery. Recalibrating the screen doesn't seem to help, nor does a reboot. It's not clear what app or use sticks or unsticks the screen. Does anyone have any suggestions how to solve this?

If it's within the warranty period, have it replaced. Other than that, no ideas other than it has to go on the bench for diagnosis. (It could just be a bad update to the ROM, or the stock ROM could have bug.)
