I noticed in my firewall logs, my Android is attempting to connect to the following IP address:

    IP address: 140.205.203.101 Port: 8015
    netname: ALISOFT
    descr: Aliyun Computing Co., LTD
    address: Beijing, China

Googling did not turn anything up for me and I searched Google Play Store using the terms "Alisoft" and "Aliyun" but did not find any associated apps on my phone.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can find out which app is "phoning home" and why?

It's Alibaba Advertising. They are a large online Chinese merchant. Try clear the history and cookies off your browser.

Sorry, I can not help with this but, I am new to android and forums and I have a question. Do any of the security apps let you block apps from doing what you think they should not do? I can not find anywhere to even ask a question here.
