Can't download a mp3 file

I have Xperia Z. every time I try to download a mp3 song from any site. it, instead of giving me a choice to save/download or open/play, just automatically opens into music player. I looked into music player's setting to disable this function. but there wasn't any such option. plz help

Run Application manager. Go to your music player. Scroll down to Clear default and press it. Try downloading an mp3 file now. (It will probably bring up a choice of players, and downloading should be one of them. If you press Always, you won't be able to play anything until you clear the default from downloading, so press Just once.)
