    Gentlemen,
I am an iPhone user and is looking to switch and get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in the coming days. With the iPhone, whenever I have a problem, I just go to the apple store nearby and get it fixed or replaced right away. How does Samsung or other phone manufacturers handle this problem(in the US)? If I get the Alpha and one day it stops working, what do I do to get it fixed or immediate replacement like the iPhone? Sending it in to a repair center out of town and wait for a week or so for repair without another phone is not an option. What do you guys do when this happens to you? Do you go to your phone store (AT&T in my case) to get it fixed?
    Thanks!!

With AT&T it's simple. (Assuming you buy the phone at AT&T - if you buy it at Best Buy and use their warranty, the coverage is a bit better and the copay is lower.) If the phone has a factory defect, bring it to your nearest AT&T Devvice Support Center (Ask your nearest store where it is - it's going to be local unless you live in the boondocks.) If you break something, it's cheaper to pay the Best Buy copay than the AT&T copay - but the difference is that AT&T may have one in stock to give you, while it takes a week or two to get it replaces with Best Buy.

(With Apple it's easier. They have to have about 6 models for each carrier. With Android there are dozens of models, so even the carrier might not have replacements on hand for every phone. But AT&T is pretty good at working with you to find a solution that works. When one of my phones had to go in for repair, they gave me a free SIM to use with an older feature phone, just so I'd have a phone with me until I got my Smartphone back. That worked for me.)

^^That answers my question. Thank you sir!! Off to Best Buy I go. It's $49.99 at Best Buy but $199.99 at AT&T store with 2-year contract.
