Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Note II replacement charging port charge?

Please help. Samsung Galaxy Note II replacement charging port won't charge

I just replaced my charging port. I made sure it had the correct REV number. It gets reception, but it won't charge. It won't even identify that a cable is inserted into the port. My battery is dead now and I'm desperate to fix it. Can anyone help please?

Also, the original charging port has "GT-N7105" on it, and the new one has "GT-N7100". Could that have anything to do with it?
