Can I alter the default aspect of some apps.

Several apps on my Laser MID742 7"tablet (Android 4.0) open up in the portrait aspect, causing the keyboard to be compressed horizontaly to the point that my old arthritic fingers tend to embrace more than one type key as I type. No amount of rotating the tablet will cause the app to adopt the landscape aspect which would be much more suitable. Is there any way that this can be achieved. Many thanks - Bo Deb.

It depends on how the app was written. There are apps that can change the properties of other apps - like which position they open in (AppConfig free is one), but if the apps you want to change are hardwired to open in landscape, there may be no way to change that. (The App Config app is free - install it and try it.)

Re: Can I alter the default aspect of some apps.

Many thanks for the info - I will experiment with AppConfig free to see if I can change the default aspect. If I am unable to I can always resort to using a touch screen pen on the compressed keypad but would prefer not to have to. Many thanks again - Bob Deb.
