Alright idk if it's just me or the phone/android OS or the app but I'm going insane.

I'm having an issue transferring files from my SD card to my phone. Basically I purchased an HTC Desire 510 in the midst of switching carriers and it was a huge downgrade from the note 3. I have downloaded a file manager because there isn't a stock one. I am trying to move my music to the phone so I can use an ID3 tag editor to correct the song titles and artist names etc. However when I try to move the file(s) it says it can't be done. I have tried a couple file managers to no avail. Am I missing something?

Just "can't be done"? No other message? (Sometimes the exact wording of the message is important.)

Where are you trying to move them to? You don't have write-access to some folders you have read access to.

And are these purchased songs? You can't move a lot of DRM-protected content.
