does it hurt your phone to download different launchers

I have kk launcher prime downloaded onto my phone and I really like it and it hasn't affected my battery and I'm careful with my memory storage. My boyfriend keeps telling me that those types of applications will mess up my phone. Is this true? If so what's the safest to use

No they will not mess up your phone. I have been running Nova Launcher for years and never had a problem ever. Depending on the launcher of could z hinder performance a little but most of there run pretty good.

Any app, if it's badly written can "mess up" your phone, but just having more than one launcher installed can't. I currently have 4 launchers in my Note 3 (mainly because, like itguyjax, I use Nova Launcher as my normal launcher, but when people ask launcher-specific questions, I can run that launcher and see how to answer them.] Been doing it for years as launchers come and go and it's never harmed a phone (except for taking up some storage space).

What's your boyfriend good at? It's not cellphones.
