Hi I had a s4 a few months a go and I turned it off for the night as I always did and it did not turn on ever again and tech people say it's because I turned it off constantly. I would love to hear everybody's awnsers.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not aware of that causing problems--it may have been a coincidence. By the way, did you ever try a new battery?

The bottom line is that Android devices really don't have to be powered down on a regular basis. It's reasonable to do so from time to time, because the rebooting process can clear out RAM and sometimes help with performance (if you have any issues with memory leaks, either with apps or with the system). But not on a daily basis.

There's nothing wrong with turning off your phone everyday. Back in the early days of android (even through 2.3, honestly) it was almost necessary to reboot it every day or two. That sounds like the "tech people" have no idea what's wrong and saw your unusual-but-reasonable behavior as an easy out so they don't have to figure out what's actually wrong.
