Why does my screen keep changing to a completely colored screen?

This just recently started, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace Style and it just all of a sudden goes to a completely colored screen. Its almost like what happens when you put a magnet on a tv screen. When I touch the colored screen, it goes back to my normal screen. It usually happens when I leave the screen on and the screen timeout kicks in. And sometimes during the night while it charges. Is there any way to fix this without buying a whole new phone???

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like either a glitchy firmware or an impending screen or motherboard failure. I don't have a solution for you, but I would definitely recommend taking this opportunity to backup or sync all of your data, just in case the screen does that permanently.
