The LCD screen is completely knackered after dropping the phone. It does not work at all but the phone itself does as the buttons light up and so forth.

I'm selling the phone as I have a new one now but I need to wipe it before it goes.

How can I do this without the screen working??

I have looked at the Google Device Manager option but when I press "enable lock and erase" via my PC browser it just says a prompt or something has been sent to the phone. Which I obviously can't do anything about!

Can I use the USB cable by any chance to completely wipe it? I have used it to access files on the phone like photos, which I have deleted (I hope)

    The phone isn't rooted either.
    Please help guys!!

Welcome to Android Central! You could try going through all of the steps for a hardware button factory reset: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11443. The tricky part is figuring out if you did it correctly without seeing anything on the screen. You could try connecting the phone to a TV using an MHL adapter, but I'm not sure if that works on the Recovery Menu.
