Ok Google recognizes my voice, and goes to search, then goes back to home screen. How can I get it to finish the search?

Ok Google recognizes my voice, and goes to search, then goes back to home screen.

When I try to use google voice, it will recognize my voice, but It will not do a search. It will go back to the main screen.
I search through alot of sites and found no answers.
Everything is updated, checked my settings on both the tablet and google app settings and everything seems correct.

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3113
Android Version: Jelly Bean 4.2.2
Google Now Version 4.4.11.16.arm
Browsers: Chrome Version 42.0.2311.108
Dolphin Version V11.4.3

Welcome to Android Central! So when you say OK Google, do you see the big Google bar with the microphone, and your words appearing as you speak? Then it just dumps you back to the homescreen without doing anything else?

Try going to the App Manager, select Google App, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again. If that doesn't work, try wiping the system cache partition: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html
