What device do you have? All devices are not created equal, so you may have a device that isn't supported. Still Android but just not compatible with your stereo, which a hundred other device may be completely compatible with. My advice is to look at the specs of the device vs. the compatibility of the stereo. You may notice right off if it's a frequency thing or it may not be noticeable because it's a software thing. I've seen similar issues pass through here because the device (phone) simply cannot support the requirements of the equipment (BlueTooth device). If we knew what device you had it may make answering your question a little easier.
