Welcome to Android Central! It may just be used by another app. According to this site, AffleTracker is used to "Track App Download and InApp Event for online and offline mode for iOS and andorid based app."[sic] AffleTracker SDK | Techgig

More info: Affle looks like a company that does marketing, so if AffleTracker is related to that company, it's probably used by some app to track your usage and downloads for marketing purposes: http://affle.com/technology/

While this may not be malware specifically, my general rule of thumb is ANY electronic device can be hacked. The question is, how hard will it be to do so and how hard are hackers trying. I know many people don't run antivirus on Apple computers because they don't think they can be hacked. I'm sure if the hackers put as much effort into hacking Apple as they do Windows, they'd find many ways in.

    Agree. Use common sense:

    1. Avoid visiting shady websites, especially those dealing with porn, gambling, free anything that would normally be paid (i.e., apps, music, movies, etc.).
    2. Be very suspicious of all popups that appear while browsing. Never tap a link or an Accept button in a browser popup unless you've had a good chance to figure out what it's about.
    3. Always install apps from trusted app sources like Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and perhaps GetJar and SlideMe. Do not download apk files from filesharing sites. Apart from the risk of malware, it's probably also piracy.
    4. Before installing an app, read through a bunch of the reviews. See if anyone talks about unwanted ads or other annoying behavior.
    5. Let Google scan your phone for malware. https://support.google.com/accounts/.../2812853?hl=en
