Where has my music gone?

music has gone

My music has disappeared on the music player all by its self but all my music is on my sd card and i really need it back has anyone had this happened and can help!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), removing it, then reinserting it. You could also go to Settings>Apps>All, select the music app, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. When you open the music app again, wait a few seconds to see if the database repopulates.

It might be a problem with the SD card. SDs can fail or become corrupt, making the data less accessible.
