You could use the '0000' PIN code as it's the default one.

Which phone? I've never heard of a "0000" default PIN. Usually, if you fail the pattern unlock, it asks you for your Google credentials.

I have an S4, so things might be a little different. On most Android phones you will be given the option to unlock the device using a PIN number after too many failed pattern attempts and it's 0000 by default.

That's interesting--I'm more used to seeing devices ask for your Google credentials after enough failed unlock attempts. Either that, or it just warns you that it will wipe the phone after 10 unsuccessful unlock attempts. Having a default PIN of 0000 seems impractical, because it would allow anyone to break into a phone by simply failing enough unlock attempts. And how do you set the backup PIN to something besides 0000?

I doubt that this is true. Anything I could find in a Google search said that this simply does not work.
