5.1.1 OTA Update Error, what should I do?

5.1.1 OTA Update Error

I have a t-mobile Nexus 5 phone and just got a notification about updating to 5.1.1. When my phone restarts, it get's about 1/2 way on the progress bar and then I get the dead robot screen. The phone eventually reboots itself and I can use my phone, but this viscous cycle repeats.

I can do a manual update (I'm tech savvy enough), but I'd rather not have to do a factory reset on my phone. Any suggestions? (T-Mobile tech support is no help)

I am also getting this with my Nexus 6; three times now in the last twelve hours... I really don't want to do a factory reset!
