Why is my left earbud working

Well I've had the same earbuds for a bout 6 months and I noticed that I had taken off my right earbud and couldn't remember why so I went to Tillys and bought a new set of Skull candy's and I've come to remember that my right ear bud doesn't work unless I apply a certain amount of pressure to the tip of the jack pressing it left then it works. This I have tried with other earphones and same results and they work with my iPhone and computer so I know it's not my ear buds. I simply want to know what he'll is going on and why this is happening and if I can fix it

Sounds like a problem with the headphone port.

I agree. Maybe the contacts in the headphone jack became loose or displaced due to wear and tear or trauma. You could also check if there's some debris stuck in there that is preventing the headphone plug from making full contact inside the jack. Use a can of compressed air to blow the jack out.
