Headed to japan and need some help

So in the coming months I am getting married and our honey moon is going to be to japan. I was hoping to pick up a phone I could use there because I know my epic won't. Now here is where I need help, can I even get a phone that would work with out costing me a ton of money and how would paying work? Any help would be great thanks.

You can probably just buy a pre-pay when you get there.

Might try getting a cheap gsm phone and get sim card when you get over there. I know there are also companies online that will ship it to you so you have it before you get there.

Neither GSM nor CDMA are in heavy use in Japan. I'd suggest looking more into renting one that works with their domestic networks. I don't know much on the matter so definitely perform your own due diligence.
