    got a pay monthly sim only deal with virgin last week for my mum, first they sent wrong type of sim for this phone, got the new correct sim two days ago still not working, yet when i put my sim in it from my phone, bingo no problem, have spent 45 mins on phone with virgin tech team and still nothing resolved, they insist it is activated and there is nothing wrong, any ideas please

    You said your SIM works in her phone, but you didn't say if her new SIM works in your phone. If not, that's 2 fails and it's almost certain it's the SIM. If it works in your phone but not hers, that's 1 pass and 1 fail and it's kind of weird. But in that case I would still ask for another SIM.
