My wife used my phone when her unit was broken, and now I can't remove her Google account. I go to settings, accounts, Google, and all I can do is turn synch on and off. Any way for me to get rid of this?

If it's the only account on the phone it cannot be deleted. There must be a default account on the phone. Easiest fix is probably to do a factory reset and start over. That will give you the initial startup screens so you can add your account and make it the default again.

Or try adding your account, then deleting hers.

I'm pretty sure that won't work. I think what happened to the OPs phone is the phone was reset for her to use. Her Google account was entered when it was setup for her use, so her account became the default account. That's why it can't be removed.

OP, if I'm wrong about that let us know.

I think you can use 2-step authentication to reset the default account password, but I can't remember ever seeing a way to remove the default account except a reset.

Android since v1.0. Linux since 2001.
