Why am I not able to receive texts messages?

Not able to receive texts messages

I switched from an iPhone to an Android and am no longer able to receive text messages regardness of whether they are on an iPhone or Android device

There are 2 things you have to do.

1. Notify iMessage that your number is no linger part of the system. If you didn't do that before switching, and you can still go back to the iPhone, put the SIM in the iPhone and disconnect that phone from iMessage. If you can't, go to a Genius Bar and they can do it for you.

2. Tell everyone with an iPhone that they have to send you at least one iMessage with the SMS box checked.
