I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that looks like it has a hairline fracture, and there is no display. I get the buttons light up and the phone turns on ok, sound works.

I've connected it to my TV using an MHL to HDMI adapter but the TV doesn't show the display. (Tested using my Dad's S5 and can see screen on TV on his)

Does this suggest something more serious with phone or would this be normal for a damaged screen?
