My Nexus 5 is out of warranty. Its 15 months old. Today while it was switched on, I placed in on charge.

It was having 8% battery and when I checked after 3 hours, it was still having 8% battery.

I used the original charger and all I can see was these vertical white lines across the phone.

The phone was also super heated.

So, I switched it off. But the vertical lines are still there, each time I try to use it.

Sometimes it goes when the screen brightness is full.

Please advice if the phone LCD got damaged?

    Please advice.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it actually turn on normally, or is the screen frozen with these vertical lines? The screen might be damaged, but what's more worrisome is that it could be the motherboard.
