Why won't my screen turn on?

My screen won't turn on

My alcatel one touch screen won't turn on. My phone fell on the toilet, I took out and cleaned the screen and the case. After about 35 min I realized I should've taken the battery and SIM card so I did. I wiped inner part of my phone along with he battery and SIM card. I let my phone air dry all night. In the morning I left it in rice. It's been in rice for two days now. The light that shows whether the phone is charging comes up but my phone won't turn on. I'm still keeping it in rice. Does my phone have a chance of working again or do I need to replace it?

Welcome to the forums. I would guess the phone is probably shot. If you have insurance, now would be a good time to look at using it, or depending if you are close to an upgrade, that might be another option as well.
