Resetting default apps within an app

I accidentally set the default alarm sound app to something that isn't even an app with sounds. How do I reset it so that I can select where I want to look for sound files?

Re: Resetting default apps within an app

Settings > Apps. Now find the app that you selected as a default which doesn't even have sound and when you click on it, there should be a section "Launch by Default", now hit the button that says "Clear Defaults", and your done.

Re: Resetting default apps within an app

Depends on which version of Android you have. Under the 5.1.1, it's Settings > Applications > Default Applications, then select clear next to the app you want to remove from the defaults.

Re: Resetting default apps within an app

Settings > Apps > Downloaded> [App Name], then select clear defaults under 'Launch by default' category.
