    When I turn on my phone my phone said that if I wanted to install a custom IOS press the up volume key if I did not want a custom IOS press the volume down key. I accidentally pressed the off button then it said that it was downloading Please do not turn off target. It has been downloading for 3 hours, is this normal?

    If it's actually installing iOS, it's a virus, and your best bet is to reflash a stock ROM and start over (see [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN - it's not difficult, it's boring).

    If it's downloading an update, leave it running (with the charger plugged in) overnight, but I suspect that there's something wrong (an update should take a few minutes to download) and you'll have to bring it to your carrier. (Although I believe that's a Straight Talk phone, so contact them on their Facebook page if you need help, and good luck.)
