My brand new phone has a virus alert pop up and it turns into a nasty website.

what happened??? I went to 2 website, a boxing site and rotten tomoatoes. How do i get it off. Virus scvan says nothing is on my phone but it keeps popping up.

It's probably a pop up ad that looks like a legitimate virus. To be safe, factory reset and be careful with the sites you visit.
