How can I fix unfortunately, HTC sense input has stopped?

phone did an update today and now this message keeps appearing "unfortunately, HTC sense input has stopped", already tried clearing the cache and even a factory reset still not fixed.
keyboard does not work at all

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Go to Google Play Store and make sure HTC Sense Input is fully updated.

Can you install another keyboard, like Google Keyboard or Swiftkey?
