My Samsung Galaxy S5 appears to have factory reset last night and in the process formatted my SD card. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to recover data stored on the SD card, specifically the photos.

More information on the reset in case it's helpful: I woke in the middle of the night to my phone powering itself back on. It was stuck on the verizon loading screen for minutes so I removed the battery in hopes of rebooting the phone. Upon rebooting I realized that all of my settings, apps and SD card data had been wiped.

Needless to say I am pretty upset at losing all of my photos and phone settings and I'm hoping someone might have some thoughts or suggestions for me.

    Thanks in advance.
