I had created a secure folder, protected by password in my Android phone to store some private documents. When I tried to open the folder recently the password doesn't match. I am sure what the password is, but it doesn't work anymore. I recently updated from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 - I don't know if that caused the issue. I have a Cyanogen 12 on my phone.

Now the question is - is there a way I can access this folder again?

Considering that you have CyanogenMod flashed onto your device, it would be better posting this in the official CyanogenMod lounge or forums. Assuming that you are using CM's default file browser.

CyanogenMod does have its own forum section on Android Central, I highly recommend that is where you post your CyanogenMod problems or go to CyanogenMod's official forums to look for your answer.
