    Hello,
I am trying to add music onto my Android but when I plug it into my Mac it says can't access device storage and suggests I unlocked the screen, which I already have done (I even disabled the lock all together).
I live in France and this is my Canadian phone, which I have removed the SIM card from. Is it because it doesn't have a SIM card that I can't access my internal storage? I thought SIM card was only for text messages and phone calls?
Everything is still there on my phone, I just can't edit anything via my Mac.

If it's because of no SIM card, is there a way around this?

    Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! The SIM shouldn't matter. Are you trying to use Android File Transfer? I don't think Mac OS has a native way to explore Android devices' file structure.

You can also use a wireless solution, like AirDroid or Wifi File Explorer.
