    I saw an answer as
    /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/scratch/

however there is no directory of that nature on my phone. Dropbox is installed and I can save files to it. However I have a text editor (Jota Text editor) which works by requesting the the exact directory path & does not pick up the GUI displayed directory that the Dropbox does.

Thus when I save docs using Jota, I cannot find my dropbox.
    I do have
    /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/u98282682/scratch/<one directory>/files..
However that appears to be a local drive on my phone.

I do not wish to save locally on the phone but to my Dropbox.

Welcome to Android Central! If you want to use your Dropbox in the cloud, then Jota Text Editor has to have that functionality built in. I don't think you can enter a directory path for cloud storage into Jota.
