Why is my Galaxy Nexus 3 always turning off?

why is my galaxy nexus 3 always turning off?

whenever i turn my phone on it keeps turning off after a second and goes to the start screen where it says "Google" then automatically turns on but again after a second it turns off. how can i fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean a Galaxy S3? There was no Galaxy Nexus 3, only a Galaxy Nexus and a Galaxy Nexus S.

Have you tried a new or different battery?
