why am i not recieving text messages from my andriod buddies?

I have an iphone so when I text people that have an android all of a sudden im not receiving their messages they get mine but I don't get there's ! can someone please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Did these friends previously have an iPhone? If so, tell them to make sure their iMessage accounts have been completely deactivated: Issues with texts after moving to Android from iPhone? Here's an easy fix! | Android Central. (However, this issue is usually for former iPhone users now on Android who no longer receive messages from people with iPhones, not your situation.)
