Hello, need some assistance

I've just purchased a OnePlus two on eBay. However the seller had not factory reset the phone and the screen had a lock pattern on. So I booted into recovery and factory reset it. Now it's asking for the previous owners Google login. What I'm I supposed to do? Is there a way to bypass this or reset it a different way so I can log in with my Google info?

Just to add to this question. The previous owner and I have been in contact, he gave me his email and password which would not work, and he also removed the phone from the Android device manager.
