HELP! I factory reset (from Recovery menu) before selling my Turbo but forgot to log out of account

Took out my sim card and sold it after doing a factory reset/wipe and the person called me saying that need my username and password. I met with them and tried to do my username and passcode (with 2 step authentication) and it kicked me right back to the same screen, do I need to insert my old SIM card?

You have to turn off two step authentication, log in, remove your account, then reset and then you can also turn back on two step authentication.

Anyone not being able to log in and has two step authentication, also has to turn that off to log in.
