Is there a difference in APN settings between the Droid Razr Maxx Limited Edition and the models bef?

is there a difference in APN settings between the Droid Razr Maxx Limited Edition and the models bef

im temporarily using my old Droid Razr Maxx Limited Edition untill my Galaxy S3 gets a screen replacement. I've pulled the SIM out of the Galaxy (also Verizon) and put it in the Droid. im on straight talk's BYOP program and im using the correct SIM card, but for some reason im not able to connect to mobile data whatsoever. I've looked up the APN settings but i have a feeling there might be a minute difference between this phone and the models that came before/after it. any suggestions?

The APN depends on the carrier, not on the phone. Use the APN that came with the SIM.

I've done that, I still don't get data 90% of the time.
