Can a virus deplete my battery and go after my SIM card?

[AC Question]

I was on my phone when a popup at the bottom of the screen came up I stating I had a virus that had already depleted 28.1 percent of my battery and would soon go after my SIM card and I would lose all of my memory. Is taht possible and wgat should I do?

Welcome to the forums. I would take that as a scare tactic and ignore it. Android is pretty safe against most, if not all viruses.
