Why won't my phone access the Internet?

[AC Question]

I have a new wifi router with 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz. I am connecting to the router, but phone is not connecting. I followed steps suggested in this forum (forgetting my network, reinstalling it, changing it to recognize 2.4 ghz only, etc.). but I am not able to get websites to work on this phone anymore. I also can't get my apps to work. However, the phone will peform a Google search. I just can't acces the website s thereafter. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You may need to allow your phone to connect to the router by entering the routers wireless settings and add it to a list of allowed devices using your phones mac address
