How can I even-out the sensitivity of the touch screen?

how can i even-out the sensitivity of the touch screen.

different apps may have different sensitivities, sometime a light tap will do, while other times multiple strong taps are required. occasionally, even then, i have to restart system to get things to work again.

i would appreciate hearing from any one with an opinion about this or, if possible, a solution.

Welcome to Android Central! That shouldn't be the case. I suspect you have a faulty digitizer, which you could try replacing (although I would recommend a qualified technician if you don't have any experience).
