Restore data after installing new ROM

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a possibility of backing up certain things (like SMS, or app specific settings) after a factory reset done in TWRP.

I have CyanogenMod running on my device, and on installing a newer version, by just installing and rebooting, got stuck in a perpetual bootloop.

I used TWRP to do a factory reset ("wipes data, cache and dalvik - not including internal storage") and installed the new version of CM.

Now, it does say that data was deleted, but "internal storage" was not deleted and a lot of the app specific folders that were on my phone are still there.

Is there a way or is all that was stored media files - like images and music?

Re: Restore data after installing new ROM

Titanium Backup can back up most everything... App data, SMS, call log, system settings (be careful with those though)... And it stores in the internal storage, so s TWRP factory reset will leave it be.

After the fact, they are lost though.
