Galaxy Note 4 Help!

When my contacts are not synced and just saved to the sim card I cannot make any
changes, such as profile picture, change the ring tone for that specific person. Only if they are synced. This is what I get:

Ringtone for calls from one contact
Note: You cannot assign a ringtone to contacts stored on the SIM card or Phone (device memory).

So where do I save contact too? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Always save your contacts to Google. That way they will synchronized and you can edit things, assign ringtones, etc.
