I was expecting an important phone call from a number that is not in my contacts. So yesterday, there was an incoming call and I could not answer it because my phone was lagging. I decided to remove the battery while it was still ringing with the intention of using the call log to call back. Apparently, that number did not appear in my call log. I have called my telco and they said they cannot retrieve it.

Is there any way I can recover that number??? I need to know if it was a call regarding a job offer..

Welcome to Android Central! Do you recall if you saw the actual phone number displayed when it was ringing? If it was a Restricted Number, the number wouldn't show up in the call log in the first place.

If your carrier can't find the number, I'm not sure if there are any other options. I checked the list of "hidden codes" for Android, and didn't see any kind of call log buried in the system: Hidden Android Secret Codes & Their Usage AnonHQ
