How do I get my Kitkat system to come on?

About a month I cracked my screen on my 4.4 KitKat so I ordered a new one I replaced it and I get power for just a couple of seconds and it gone what did I do wrong and can I fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Did you do the repair yourself? Is it only the screen that turns off on its own, or does the device completely power down on its own after a couple of seconds?

Chances are there was some other hardware damage, either from the fall, or during the repair process.
