    Hello.
My Daughter says that sometimes her phone cannot send texts, and they get stuck until the signal returns.

Is there an app that will log when the signal is totally lost, so that I can determine how often this happens?

Go to the stock battery usage graph and tap it to open it. Your radio signal history, among other things, since last unplugging, is revealed.
GSam Battery Monitor also shows your signal history in the form of a graph.
Catlog might be useful for it.
There are probably other apps in the Play Store that would also do the job.
