i locked my self out of my phone and cant remember the password, how can i get back in my phone and change the password?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which version of Android? With current and recent Android versions, you generally can't change your password online. What happens if you fail the unlock on the phone enough times--are you prompted for your Google account? If not, you might have to do a hardware button factory reset, after which you'll be asked to enter your Google credentials before proceeding with the Setup Wizard. Any locally saved data on the phone will be lost, of course.
