Question about canceling + rejoining contract with VZW

Hi everyone,

I joined VZW a few days ago and got the Droid Incredible. I recently heard the Thunderbolt is coming out and have about a week or so left before my "14 day" upgrade expires (i.e. I can exchange it for another phone and pay the difference in price within 14 days of purchase).

At this point, nobody really has any idea when its coming out. If I want the thunderbolt at discounted price, I figure my options are:

1) Try to convince VZW to extend this "14 day" grace period
2) Cancel Verizon contract (I have 14 days to do so without charge) and rejoin when the thunderbolt comes out?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Getting the 14 days extend isn't going to happen. You can cancel the contract in those 14 days and then rejoin when the thunderbolt comes out. You will have to pay a $35 restocking fee for the incredible and will have to pay the activation fee again when you rejoin.
