I have a problem with my Huawei g7 not detecting fast wireless networks, it doesn't even appear in the list of networks, yet the ordinary ones do.
Any ideas why? I'm sure I read the phone is compatible with 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by ordinary wi-fi networks? Is it able to connect to your home wi-fi network? If it's not seeing other private wi-fi networks, that may be because the owners of those networks set the router to hide the SSID.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
The networks are at work. One is called Wireless442 and the other is called Wireless442fast. The latter does not appear in the list. Yet it does on other people's phones.

Do you know if those work wi-fi networks are 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz? The G7 doesn't support 5 GHz.

Was that the issue, or is it something you have to check with work?
